What We Do

Our Work

More than twenty years ago, churches and lay leaders wanted to have a local pantry in the community to help others become empowered. Today the pantry serves over five hundred families in our local community. Fifteen dollars can buy a family of four nutritious food for two weeks. Beyond giving, we seek to help the individual become sustainable by providing necessary resources and witnessing God's word in each individual's life.

Alvarado Helping Hands for Jesus is a faithful community committed to enhancing lives through nutrition education, food assistance, access to available resources and community service.

With our mission always in mind, we work tirelessly to improve the lives of individuals from all walks of life. We accept food, and toiletries items for essential daily needs in the community.

With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in our local community. With equal access to resources, people around the world grow up to become empowered individuals with the ability to chase their dreams, and use the tools they need to build the life they want.
